The Double Post, National Border Post 176 with Barony Post
A square post with ‘Barony of Hees and Leen’ on one side and ‘Barony of Cranendonck’ on the opposite side, Bergbosweg, Budel. Also a place known for illegal border crossings. The old name for this place is “Aan de Kattenput” (At the Cat Pit). This spot also marks the border between the Belgian municipality of Hamont-Achel and the (former) municipalities of Leende, Gastel and Budel.
