A trip through history

The history of the town of Valkenswaard is as long as it is rich. For example, it was the first Dutch town to be liberated by the English in 1944. Its falconry and cigar industries used to be of international renown. And it is home to no less than 21 national monuments and 34 municipal monuments. During a one-and-a-half hour walk through the town centre, a guide will tell you all about it. Or opt for a bicycle trip past the historical highlights. For more information, please visit the tourist office Valkenswaard.
