Take a different view on De Groote Heide’s nature: from a canoe! The extensive forests, green meadows and beautifully vegetated banks showcase the best this ancient river landscape has to offer. From the De Malpie nature gateway in Valkenswaard a minibus takes you to the starting point. From there you depart on an eight kilometre canoe trip (about two hours), which ends at the inviting outdoor terrace of the Venberg Water Mill café. An alternative, more challenging sixteen kilometre trip starts from Neerpelt.
