The Aalsterhut, better known as “De Hut van Mie Pils” (Mie Pils’ cabin) or simply Mie Pils, is the perfect stopover for hikers, cyclists, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. This tavern is located at a junction of hiking and cycling routes in the middle

Heeze's tourist information point is located in bookstore and office stationer's Lektura on the J. Deckersstraat. They offer a wide range of cycling and hiking maps, (travel) books and package deals, including fun tourist promotions.

In the 19th century, the Schimmelse or Woenselse Watermolen was the largest watermill in the area. Corn was ground, oil was pressed, and wool processed in this mill.

On sunny days, the outdoor seating area is brimming with cyclists, day trippers and other bon vivants who, from behind a frothy glass of Trappist beer, admire the steady flow of passers-by. In the evening too many patrons find their way to the bar.

Haviksoord membership is available to any practitioner of golf. Guest players are welcome. The golf course is in good condition. There is a cosy compact clubhouse where you can go for a snack and a drink.

Villa Cranendonck, the little white castle, was built in the early 20th century. It was privately owned for quite some time until the municipality became owner or the Cranendonck estate in 1938.

It is the starting point for a wonderful walking or cycling trip through the Leenderbos, the Groote Heide or the Beverbeekse Heide. From here, you can also easily reach the charming town of Hamont-Achel.

This area entrance at the edge of nature reserve De Malpie is an excellent starting point for various trips.

The watermill was probably built in the 12th or 13th century and served as a corn, oil and fulling mill.

If you are planning a visit to the beautiful, border-crossing nature reserve of Hageven-De Plateaux, a good place to start is the Hageven/De Wulp Visitors Centre. Have a look inside first, so you are more aware of what to look for out there.

A stones throw from Valkenswaard lies nature reserve De Malpie. The unparalleled beauty of this area led to Valkenswaard being voted “Hiking Municipality of the Year” in 2016.

There is no better place to meet up with a friend or two and catch up over a nice drink than this traditional pub with beautiful outdoor seating area on the Statie. At the Statie they regularly host comedy nights and live music.

Several noble families have lived here and at one time it was even owned by the Royal Family. Not much remains of the original castle, which was built around 1250. On its spot now rises a beautiful villa that is available as a wedding location.

Access Gate De Plaetse near Heeze is the starting point for a walk or bike ride through the Strabrechtse Heide; an immense heathland area with numerous fens, forests and shifting sands.
