This mill grinds in the traditional way for the small and large baker.

On sunny days, the outdoor seating area is brimming with cyclists, day trippers and other bon vivants who, from behind a frothy glass of Trappist beer, admire the steady flow of passers-by. In the evening too many patrons find their way to the bar.

Janzona means 'son of Janssen'. This is an octagonal mountain corn mill. It was moved from Venlo to Budel-Schoot in 1937. After a thorough restoration in 1980, the mill is now completely millable again.

In Leila's cooking studio, 12 people can simultaneously cook, eat, lounge, socialise, meet or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Up to 6 people can stay overnight and use the wellness with Moroccan hammam and sauna.

The De Plaetse sheepfold is located next to the Strabrechtse Heide. A flock of over 350 Kempen heath sheep regularly resides here to graze Brabants heathlands.

At ice cream parlour Pierre, they do not compromise on raw materials. For instance, the pistachios come from Sicily and the hazelnuts from Piedmont. The cocoa comes from Belgium and the milk, cream and yoghurt, of course, from the Netherlands.

The watermill was probably built in the 12th or 13th century and served as a corn, oil and fulling mill.

De Bosuil in Sint-Huibrechts-Lille is mainly known for its beautiful, large and well-kept playground. The playground is always accessible and entrance is free.

Access Gate De Plaetse near Heeze is the starting point for a walk or bike ride through the Strabrechtse Heide; an immense heathland area with numerous fens, forests and shifting sands.

This establishment does not fit comfortably in just one description: it is neither cafeteria nor fancy restaurant. It is undeniable, however, that they serve great food! Their ice cream is also excellent, and they have a large outdoor seating area.

In the 19th century, the Schimmelse or Woenselse Watermolen was the largest watermill in the area. Corn was ground, oil was pressed, and wool processed in this mill.

Admire a wide variety of carriages. During a personal and passionate tour, the nostalgia of the horse-drawn carriage and customs from the good old days will be told in a humorous way.

The poplar trees, sandy paths and wet marsh grounds together form the well-known De Meierij ‘peppellandschap’ or ‘poplar landscape’.
