Café De Klok is a nice village pub for people who like good company and a nice glass of beer. The beer garden, located at the sunny back of the café is a wonderful place to regain your strength before continuing on your way.

After the abolition of the medieval ban law by Napoleon, a few enterprising Teuten van Hamont built a windmill a few hundred metres outside the town walls of Hamont. AN XII of 1804 is written on the windmill in large white letters.

The Venberg watermill is located south of Valkenswaard on the Dommel river. This mill, which used to have three functions under one roof (oil mill, bark mill and grain mill), is one of the oldest mills in history.
