This “backyard” of Eindhoven is an excellent starting point for a visit to De Groote Heide. And when combined with a visit to the prehistoric village (preHistorisch Dorp) you are guaranteed to have a diverse and green day out!

Rents out electric and classic bicycles, making it an excellent place to start exploring De Groote Heide. Bicycles for children and a tandem are also available. Please note that an electric bicycle requires at least two days prior reservation.

It is the starting point for a wonderful walking or cycling trip through the Leenderbos, the Groote Heide or the Beverbeekse Heide. From here, you can also easily reach the charming town of Hamont-Achel.

The Meulendijks Riding Stables is located on the edge of the Strabrechtse Heide, with not only cycling and hiking routes, but also bridle paths and carriage routes. A wonderful base for a day of horseback riding!

Valkenswaard now has a new little miscreant! A mischievously delicious restaurant for a budget-friendly lunch and/or dinner. They serve mostly spicy grilled dishes. Their spare-ribs – prepared according to an authentic Cuban recipe – are truly divine!

Hit the road on nostalgic American bicycles with fat tires, armchair saddles and big, wide handlebars. The set route takes you on a 2 to 2.5 km drive.
