In 1960, a new customs office for both Belgium and the Netherlands was built at the Dutch border.

Heeze's tourist information point is located in bookstore and office stationer's Lektura on the J. Deckersstraat. They offer a wide range of cycling and hiking maps, (travel) books and package deals, including fun tourist promotions.

Our speciality is a tailor-made canoe trip (in a kayak or multi-person canoe) to suit you and your party completely. As standard, you can choose between a Dommel trip of around 2 hours or 4.5 hours.

The Venberg watermill is located south of Valkenswaard on the Dommel river. This mill, which used to have three functions under one roof (oil mill, bark mill and grain mill), is one of the oldest mills in history.

The Strabrechtse Heide is a vast heath landscape with beautiful vistas that served as the backdrop for the work of various artists in the 1920s and 1930s. Get out there and discover for yourself what drew them to Heeze!

The Leenderheide (or Groote Heide) is located east of Eindhoven, nestled between the A67 and A2 highways. Part of the area is known as the Groote Heide, identical to the name of our nature border park.

After the abolition of the medieval ban law by Napoleon, a few enterprising Teuten van Hamont built a windmill a few hundred metres outside the town walls of Hamont. AN XII of 1804 is written on the windmill in large white letters.

All that shopping got you hungry? This sandwich shop is located right in the middle of the shopping centre. In addition to delicious freshly made sandwiches they also have burgers and sweet and savoury snacks.

‘Beemden’ or ‘carrs’ are grasslands along a brook, which are too wet for cattle to graze.

The Genneper Watermill (also called Gennepermolen) is a beautiful watermill in Genneper Park, which was captured by none other than Vincent van Gogh in one of his works.

The beautiful Strabrechtse Hoeve is almost completely hidden in the greenery in Mierlo.

The poplar trees, sandy paths and wet marsh grounds together form the well-known De Meierij ‘peppellandschap’ or ‘poplar landscape’.

This establishment does not fit comfortably in just one description: it is neither cafeteria nor fancy restaurant. It is undeniable, however, that they serve great food! Their ice cream is also excellent, and they have a large outdoor seating area.

This was originally a grain mill, but Dewerd was converted into a fulling mill in the 17th century.

The products on offer at the Catharinadal cheese dairy range from hard, soft and fresh cheeses to young, mature and old crumbly cheeses. Not to mention their sweet, tangy, spicy and sour varieties. In short: the place to be for true connoisseurs!

One of the attractions of Genneper Parken is the cosy Pavilion Genneper Parken, where you can play miniature golf or 'pick up' a terrace in a beautifully landscaped garden.

A special place on the edge of nature reserve De Malpie, where you will be hospitably welcomed. Sit down and enjoy fresh coffee, artisanal farmhouse ice cream or other goodies, while the children enjoy themselves in and around the Hoeve.

Fire destroyed the Volmolen or Waalrese Molen in 1962. A double mill stood on this spot in 1350.
