Villa Cranendonck, the little white castle, was built in the early 20th century. It was privately owned for quite some time until the municipality became owner or the Cranendonck estate in 1938.

The Venberg watermill is located south of Valkenswaard on the Dommel river. This mill, which used to have three functions under one roof (oil mill, bark mill and grain mill), is one of the oldest mills in history.

The Eindhovensche Golfclub is an 18-hole golf course in Valkenswaard. The course was designed by Harry S. Colt and has two loops of nine holes. From the clubhouse, you overlook the Galgenven, which is part of the golf course.

Boundaries blur in Hageven-De Plateaux, a Dutch-Belgian nature reserve. A walk here leads through woods and heathland and past fens and ingenious water meadows, a water system from the early nineteenth century.

A standerdmolen is a mill that rests on a standard, as it were. When the wind comes from a certain direction, the whole mill is turned to catch the wind, and not just the hood with the blades.

You can get an even better look at the surrounding area from ‘t Meulke watchtower.
